Lepine or Savonnette: Which Royal Pop Strap Should You Choose?
The Royal Pop AP x Swatch ships as a pendant. To wear it on your wrist, you need a strap with an integrated case. One single question decides everything: does your watch have the crown at 12 o'clock (Lepine) or at 3 o'clock (Savonnette)? This guide keeps you from making the most common mistake.

The only difference that matters: crown position
Both families share the same 40 mm module. What changes is the crown, and therefore how the integrated case is cut.
- Lepine: crown at 12 o'clock, no small seconds. 6 references.
- Savonnette: crown at 3 o'clock, with small seconds at 6 o'clock. 2 references (Lan Ba SSX03L100N and Otg Roz SSX03J100N).

A Lepine case does not fit a crown at 3 o'clock, and the reverse is also true. That is why there are two separate collections.
How do I know if my Royal Pop is Lepine or Savonnette?
Look at your watch face-on. Crown at the top, at 12 o'clock, and no small seconds hand? That is a Lepine. Crown on the right side, at 3 o'clock, with a small seconds counter at 6 o'clock? That is a Savonnette. If you are unsure, the reference number (SSX03...) is printed on the watch.

Lepine model: crown at 12 o'clock, no small seconds.

Savonnette model: crown at 3 o'clock and small seconds at 6 o'clock.
Crown at 12 o'clock: the Lepine collection
If your Royal Pop has the crown at 12 o'clock, your strap is in the Lepine collection, available in 8 FKM rubber colors:

Crown at 3 o'clock: the Savonnette collection
If your Royal Pop has the crown at 3 o'clock (Lan Ba or Otg Roz), your strap is in the Savonnette collection, also available in 8 FKM colors:

Does the look on the wrist change?
Slightly. With the crown at 3 o'clock, the orientation is that of a classic wristwatch, which many people find more natural. With the crown at 12 o'clock, the look is more unusual, but you get used to it fast. Either way, the assembly measures roughly 42 mm once clipped into the case - a common sports-watch size.
Material and fit: how to avoid bad surprises
The strap is made from FKM rubber, the same material found in high-end dive straps: resistant to water, sweat, and UV, and completely odorless. The case clips onto the watch with no glue, no screws, and no modification, and the process is fully reversible.
One important point: many sellers have appeared with AI-generated photos and no verified fit. Before buying anywhere, ask for real photos and a video of the watch on the wrist, plus the option to return it if the fit is not right. At Maison Brassel, the case is built to the exact dimensions of the Royal Pop, and exchange or refund is free within 30 days.
Lepine or Savonnette: the recap
Crown at 12 o'clock means Lepine. Crown at 3 o'clock means Savonnette. Check the crown, pick the collection, then choose your color.
